60 ºC knife is used for thick and rigid foils (reflective and phosphorous foil, Flex and flock foil)

45 ° C knife is used for standard self-adhesive foil

The 30 ° C knife is used for thinner materials than standard ones

 

The 45 degree is used for almost any media needs up to a few tenths of a millimeter. They are characterized by a longer life due to the larger cutting surface of the blade.

60-degree are suitable for more precise and detailed contour cutting. It's more difficult for them to have a problem with more sharp curves, for example when cropping a grass image. For this reason, these type of knives are suitable for handling transfer materials.

 

The choice between different types of blades is also associated with a change in the cutting settings that are reflected in the travel radii and angular offsets. Some knowledge of the different parameters is necessary in order to achieve excellent results and to avoid problems where the angle of movement is known.
